Ingredients

1 onion finely sliced

1 clove crushed garlic

2 tbsp water

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

8 San Marzano tomatoes – diced

1 pinch of sea salt

6 cups flat green beans

250 g cooked papardelle

4-5 basil leaves

Directions:

  1. Saute onion & garlic in water & oil 3-5 min
  2. Add tomatoes
  3. Add salt & simmer med/low 10 min
  4. Put a large pot of salted water to boil
  5. Trim beans, add them to water & boil 5 min
  6. Add pasta to water together with beans
  7. Cook pasta in salted water as directed on pkg less 1 min
  8. Drain cooked pasta & beans, transfer to pan with sauce
  9. Combine & let simmer additional 1-3 min
  10. Add fresh chopped basil and serve
